Summary: Natalia, a young girl in her twenties is married to Matias Rosales, the 60 years old mayor of a costal town in Peru. Sullen Natalia attends Mass daily, takes part in religious processions and otherwise has little to do in the dusty town. When the old parish priest retires, he is replaced by Santiago, a handsome man in his 30's and Natalia's life takes an unexpected twist: she falls in love.
